Woman fined after supplying alcohol to minors – Tweed/Byron Local Area Command
Police from Tweed/Byron Local Area Command are reminding people that it is an offence to supply liquor to minors and action will be taken against people who do so.
The warning comes after a 25-year-old Ballina woman was charged with suppling liquor to minors in Byron Bay in November last year.
The woman appeared in Wollongong Local Court on July 17, 2012, and was convicted of two offences. She was fined $600 and placed on a two-year good behaviour bond.
The charges relate to an incident on November 18, 2011, when a woman was detected by police in Jonson Street, Byron Bay, allegedly supplying two 14-year-old girls with pre-mixed drinks.
