Lockouts on table but not in Cross plan

The NSW government has stopped short of introducing lockouts for Kings Cross venues but Premier Barry O’Farrell says the option remains “on the table”.

A freeze on new licensed venues in the popular entertainment precinct will be extended until 2015 under a plan of management for the area.

And the area covered by the Kings Cross Liquor Accord will be extended to take in premises in Potts Point and Elizabeth Bay, under the government’s proposals to crack down on alcohol-fuelled violence.
