Pub scene out of rehab and looking good
It wasn’t that long ago that the Illawarra pub scene was one of the most violent in the state.
Week after week reports filtered through of booze-fuelled crime, bar brawls, assaults, heavy-handed security guards and vicious assaults by drunken thugs in Wollongong mall.
So bad was the situation that the Glasshouse Tavern at one time had the unenviable record of being named the second most violent establishment in the state.
