POLICE have criticised a Geelong nightclub for promoting $2 alcoholic drink specials.

Titanium nightclub has used Facebook to promote the specials – alongside a pole-dancing evening.

The uproar follows the closure of a business criticised for similar stunts at the same location last year.

The Ryrie St nightclub advertised the drink specials and pole-dancers, as well as $4 and $5 pre-mixed drinks, this week.

Inspector Carl Peers said police were concerned and would question the owner.
