JCU heads bid to curb violence in Cairns

A TEAM of experts has banded together to try and reduce alcohol-related violence in the city’s late night entertainment precinct.

The panel, which includes JCU researchers, police officers, Cairns Base Hospital emergency department staff, Cairns Regional Council members and representatives of the Liquor Accord, will host the first of a series of public forums at the Courthouse Hotel on Thursday.
