Accord calls for precinct permanency
VALLEY businesses want the State Government to make the Drink Safe Precinct a permanent fixture, launching a social media campaign yesterday to promote the initiative.
The Valley Liquor Accord (VLA), which represents bars and clubs in the area, and the Valley Chamber of Commerce are behind the move, which includes using Twitter and Facebook to push for the precinct to continue beyond its slated end in November.
VLA chairman Nick Braban said it was a good time to show the LNP Government how well the Drink Safe Precinct worked.
